Kate Badash

Kate Badash has been actively engaged in San Antonio community service for decades, concentrating primarily in cultural affairs.   She has served  on the Boards of KLRN, San Antonio Library Foundation, The San Antonio Art League, Born to Read Program, and was directly involved in the planning and restoration of the Ursuline Academy, now one of the city’s jewels- the Southwest School of Art.  She is also serving on the Board of The Gentielshi Aegis Foundation, assisting the President.  Kate hosted the long running “Art Beat” on KLRN, and was National Publicity Director for the acclaimed “Austin City Limits.”  She practiced law for over 20 years, beginning as a Bexar County prosecutor before entering private practice.

Now, in retirement, she has had the time to focus on her long-delayed desire to work as an abstract landscape painter, studying primarily at the Southwest School of Art, mentored by nationally known and recognized artists.

She  is now showing her work in small, curated GAGA exhibitions, after working only with private clients.
