Roberta Buckles 

Known for her colorful, hyper-real oil paintings, the works of

Roberta Buckles are often both photorealistic and nonobjective

simultaneously. She also works in mixed media and acrylic. Her

paintings have shown in group and solo exhibitions nationally

and are in collections throughout the United States.

 

She was a featured workshop instructor for Art Methods and

Material Show in Pasadena, California, sponsored by American Artist magazine, and was showcased in the March, 2005 issue of The Artist’s Magazine for the article, “Making the Leap.” Louis Vuitton Paris selected her work to participate in a launch of their fine jewelry line, which appeared in Vogue Paris.

 

Buckles received her MFA from the University of Texas at San

Antonio. She is an adjunct instructor at San Antonio College and teaches painting workshops and oil painting classes.
