Mary James
Mary James graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. degree in Interior Design. She has worked as an Interior Designer for over 30 years both nationally and internationally. This career, working with the elements and principles of design, served as a good foundation for making art on a more intimate scale.

Studying Art History in college peaked Mary’s interest in art. Her interest and knowledge of art was broadened over the years of working with her clients’ acquired art collections. She also helped many clients build fine art collections.

Mary has been taking art classes at Southwest School of Art since 2008 and continues to do so. She has also studied under many nationally acclaimed artists in workshops. Along the way she has been encouraged and mentored by several local artists, which she is forever grateful.
