I’ve found making art to be a meditation on observation. Learning to see our world around us makes each daily journey full of beauty and joy in the celebration of it. I hope to represent some of that beauty in my art.
I’ve been a student of drawing and painting for over three decades. Because I’m not a natural artist this practice, attention to process and learning how to correct my mistakes are the tools I use most in making art. I enjoy belonging to the community of artists, their energy, creative thinking and work ethic.
