Caroline Royall

Born and raised in France in the late 50’s, Caroline came late to the creative arts working as a linguist in the United-States for many years. She combines two very different cultural experiences to engage her audience and allow them to feel what she feels. Her interests include photography, still-life and landscape paintings, photorealism and the study of social issues. She works with oils, acrylics, collage and mixed media.

Caroline is currently working on a painting series inspired from a NY Times story involving the death of a young migrant travelling to join her family in New York. Through this series, Caroline addresses the plight of migrants wanting to escape poverty and violence in their homeland only to find themselves crossing deserts and seas under unbearable conditions often with dismal outcomes.

Caroline lives with her husband in San Antonio, Texas.
