 Louise Craig

With each glass creation, Louise Craig looks to experience the mysterious, to convey a story that might evoke a personal connection, a universal truth or a visceral response in the viewer.

Her work with recycled materials received multiple awards at San Antonio’s Art281’s Recycled Challenge. Often using wine

bottle glass, she has been awarded Art281’s “People’s Choice Award” (2012), first place (2012 and 2013), second place (2012) and third place (2013).

Craig attended The University of Texas at Austin where she

graduated with a BFA in theatre. After spending two years

traveling aboard a sixteenth-century galleon reproduction,

Craig returned to San Antonio and her exploration of glass as

a medium for her work.
