Terry Gay Puckett 

Born in Amarillo, Texas, Terry Gay Puckett has lived in San

Antonio since 1962. Chosen as Artist of the Year in 2009 by the San Antonio Art League and Museum, she has won awards for

painting, mixed media, collage and vitreous enamels on metal.

Her enamel work has been exhibited internationally. Liturgical enamels of her design are located at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio.

 

Her work is included in the permanent collections of Texas A&M University and the San Antonio Art League and Museum, the time capsule at the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Robert B. Green UHS Clinical Pavilion and the Thomas C. Thompson Enamel Collections.

Puckett is co-founder and professor emeritus of the art department at St. Phillip’s College in San Antonio. She has taught workshops in Guatemala, Mexico and Ecuador. She received a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin, and MA degrees from West Texas A&M and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
