Marilyn Sherer

For Marilyn Sherer, art was a dream she put aside to raise a

family and have a career. Later, with two grown sons and three

grandsons, the time to reach for her dream came again. After

taking art lessons, her paintings were featured in the San Antonio Express News, and the art critic likened her impressionistic style to Rousseau. Sherer has since shown in several galleries and is trying her hand at different styles as she finds new meaning

in her work.

In her approach to life, Sherer relies, in part, on the wisdom of the Dr. Seuss creator, Theodor Seuss Geisel: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”
